Green Cedar was the sixth fragrance that Isaac and I worked on together and it really feels like a coming of age scent to me. We weren’t trying too hard, it was playful, free-flowing and explorative. We started with some of our favourite ingredients - cedarwood, magnolia, cardamom and just went from there. Some of my favourite moments were deep diving the unique terroir of these special ingredients from different regions, cultivated by different hands. The wild harvested Moroccan cedarwood smells like Morocco looks - vibrant and powerful, so we chose to pair it with a Texan cedarwood that is extremely pure in profile and a by-product of the paper industry - a harmonious juxtaposition.
The most beautiful thing for me is that I believe the joy and ease of the creative process is reflected in the final scent. You don’t have to try hard to like Green Cedar, it’s cathartic to its core. When I wear Green Cedar, I feel like I’ve ‘come home’.
